AMBAZONIA DAY
Fellow Ambazonians, fellow children of God;
Today 10 October 2011 marks the 21st anniversary of the Proclamation Formalizing the Restoration of the Independence of the former British Southern Cameroons as the sovereign Republic of Ambazonia.
The spiritual cum legal dimensions of the Ambazonia-v- Cameroon on 1 October 2011 encountered in Buea the Capital of Ambazonia is our focus. Cameroon saw an enemy and massed its armed forces to ambush it and crush it in Buea the capital of Ambazonia. That enemy Cameroon saw the sovereignty of the Ambazonian nation, as our people trooped to Buea.
Do not mind that critics say it was without an agreed road map, no agreed war cry or slogan , no agreed placards, no agreed target, no plan; and above all the fact that there was no visible leader goes to confirm the Lord God Himself is the invisible leader of our cause.
Remember that it was this made invisible leader, the Lord God who sent into Paul Biya a strong delusion to believe a lie that there was only one country called Cameroon. And to wipe off the epithet United which according to him gave the false impression of a union of two countries, Biya enacted law 84/01 to resurrect the Republic of Cameroon that had been extinct since 1 October 1961. Fortunately for Ambazonia under international law on the creation and extinction of States the resurrection of the Republic of Cameroon constitutes an extinction of the Union that had rendered the two countries extinct on 1 October 1961. And by operation of international law the Republic of Cameroon (French Cameroun) and Ambazonia (Southern British Cameroons) became again mutually sovereign and legally distinct from each other as they were before the Anglo-French Cold War Politics imposed on Ambazonia that illegal ill-fated and much troubled Union.
The outcome of law 84/01 was that the Southern Cameroons Constitution Order in Council which had been illegally set aside automatically bounced back into force on 2 January 1984. And the 10 October 1990 Proclamation only replaced the colonial trappings and symbolisms with authentic Ambazonian ones. Law 84/01 plus the Proclamation of 10 October 1990 thus became the legal parameters of the sovereign Ambazonian Nation which the Lord God set before the world. It has been fortified with Cameroon High Court judgment HCB/28/92 and the judgment of the United Nations Human Rights Committee (UNHRC CCPR/1134/2002). The UNHRC says HCB/28/92 is the best attempt at domestic remedy which failed only because Paul Biya does not respect judgments on Human Rights. And HCB/28/92 declared the occupation of Ambazonia by Cameroon as act of aggression and ordered that all elements of Cameroon rule be expelled (repeat expelled) from Ambazonia.
We therefore thank the almighty God who is the cause and effect of all things seen and unseen for motivating Cameroon’s field commander in Ambazonia (i.e., the Cameroon governor in Buea), to initiate a physical confrontation with Ambazonia by the arbitrary arrest, illegal detention and impending prosecution of Ambazonians for activities done in Ambazonia. Since law 84/01 restored the sovereignty of Ambazonia since 2 January 1984, any law or act of the Cameroon government is invalid, null and void of legal effect in Ambazonia which is outside the territorial boundaries of Cameroon.
I therefore urge Ambazonian lawyers to use high class legal expertise to issue a writ/order of prohibition which when served on the Buea Court would prohibit the magistrate or judge from taking cognizance of an act by anyone deriving authority from Cameroon seeking to criminalize Ambazonians in the name of Cameroon for activities done by Ambazonians in Ambazonia. This must be followed with a civil suit against governor Issa in person including the names of the commanders of security forces involved in the illegal arrests and detention making a claim for trespass to the person under the following heads:
- assault, (threatening to apply force to the person)
- battery (actually touching the person
- unlawful arrest
- false imprisonment (detention even for five minutes) and
- malicious prosecution (setting the criminal justice process in motion against each of the Ambazonian arrested for activities done in Ambazonia which do not constitute any offence under Ambazonian law.
Finally and above all, an Originating Summons should be issued with an Order to Show Cause within 10 working days of service; why an order should not become absolute which expels all public servants (civil and military) of Cameroon origin from Ambazonian territory, and territorial waters. The population of Ambazonia (both civilian and military) must be mobilized to enforce the Court Order expelling all Cameroon agents from Ambazonia.
Fellow Ambazonians behold the tears and hear the cries of your children, your wives and grand sires that have been under subjugation by Franco-Cameroon armed forces ever since 1 October 1961. I call on you to make this 21 anniversary of Ambazonia Day the starting point of our action to transform the spiritual cum legal parameters of our national sovereignty into material realization.
Remember that the lonely Man of Calvary had no army, no navy, nor air force, no police and no gendarmes. The only thing he had was His garment and His life. And even those were taken away from Him. Yet he conquered the world and is now the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. Time starts from Him (BC or AD). With Him, through Him, and by Him, we shall overcome. Yes the Lord almighty is the invisible leader of our war against the powers of darkness and He will use each of us the way He chooses in this combat.
For we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world and against spiritual wickedness in high places .Our prayers should therefore be that as he used a pebble from young David’s sling to bring down mighty Goliath, so may He use us the nothings to bring down them who think they are mighty before God. This we pray in the name and through the blood of our Lord Jesus Christ For now and forever more, Amen.
